Per favor\, reviseu també la bústia de correus no desitjats si no ha arribat l’enllaç abans del col·loqui). \n  \nLaia Abril és fotògrafa\, periodista\, artista; utilitza la càmera per explicar històries íntimes que desvetllen realitats amagades sobre sexualitat\, trastorns alimentaris i desigualtats de gènere. \n  \nEn circunstancias «naturales»\, una mujer podría quedar embarazada un promedio aproximado de quince veces a lo largo de su vida\, dando como resultado diez nacimientos. Durante siglos\, las personas han buscado formas de retrasar o interrumpir el embarazo. Hoy en día\, finalmente existen medios seguros y eficientes para el aborto\, aunque aún hay mujeres de todo el mundo que continúan utilizando métodos caseros antiguos\, ilegales o arriesgados: cada año\, 47.000 mujeres de todo el mundo mueren debido a abortos fallidos. El nuevo proyecto a largo plazo de Laia Abril\, A History of Misogyny\, es una investigación visual realizada a través de comparaciones históricas y contemporáneas. He has published numerous studies on the history of the environmental sciences\, addressing subjects such as Big Ecology\, the concept of the landscape\, and ecological complexity. Another research subject of his is into the notion of different styles of science. He is author of Styles of Knowing (2011)\, and more recently\, What is Truth? A new philosophy of science of the sciences and the humanities (2018). \n  \nCoordinadora: Gemma Cirac-Claveras (UPF). \nResum del cicle: Historians of 20th Century science have portrayed a time when science was organized along the lines of a modern division between field and laboratory sciences. It has been described that many scientific and technical institutions\, professions and funding organisations rejected the field as an outmoded and second-class arena in contrast with the promise of modern laboratory physics. Earth-orbiting satellites (and space technologies more broadly)\, usually portrayed as hallmarks of modernity and paradigmatic examples of Big Science\, belong to this imagined laboratory science. The three lectures proposed in this cycle\, instead\, make a plea for reading satellite history also as part of field sciences practices tradition. \n  \nThis cycle of conversations aims to discuss one of the key questions to the history of 20th century science: the demarcation between lab and field sciences. DESCRIPTION:Claudia Andujar\nDe el 26/02/2021 al 23/05/2021 \nComissari: Thyago Nogueira \nIniciem la programació expositiva del 2021 amb l’exposició més gran dedicada fins avui a l’obra de l’artista brasilera Claudia Andujar (nascuda a Suïssa el 1931)\, que\, durant més de cinc dècades\, ha dedicat la seva vida a fotografiar i protegir els ianomami\, un dels grups indígenes més grans i amenaçats del Brasil. \nDesprés de quatre anys de recerca en l’arxiu de la fotògrafa\, aquesta exposició se centra en la seva obra d’aquest període\, i aplega al voltant de dues-centes\nfotografies\, una instal·lació audiovisual\, així com una sèrie de dibuixos realitzats pels ianomami. A més a més\, s’inclou una selecció de les seves primeres fotografies preses al Brasil durant les dècades del 1960 i 1970. \nExposició organitzada per l’Institut Moreira Salles en col·laboració amb Fundació MAPFRE. \nDescobreix l’exposició

DESCRIPTION:La mirada captiva\nLa col·lecció de daguerrotips del Centre de Recerca i Difusió de la Imatge (CRDI) – Girona \nDe el 26/02/2021 al 23/05/2021 \nComissaris: Joan Boadas y David Iglésias \nDes de la seva aparició el 1839\, el daguerrotip va exercir una profunda fascinació per la forma en què aquestes petites plaques platejades semblaven atrapar\, captivar\, l’enigma de la identitat humana. Objecte de demanda per àmplies capes de la població en tots els països\, sobretot en els entorns urbans\, es convertiria en un element essencial per fer de la fotografia\, ja des del seu origen\, un fenomen massiu i proper. \nLa mirada captiva presenta 104 imatges de la col·lecció de daguerrotips del Centre de Recerca i Difusió de la Imatge (CDRI) de l’Ajuntament de Girona\, una de les més notables per la rellevància i varietat de les seves peces. L’exposició representa\, a més a més\, el fet de posar en marxa la línia expositiva que\, dins de la programació del KBr\, es dedicarà de manera regular a promoure el coneixement i la difusió de col·leccions fotogràfiques d’institucions catalanes. \nLa mostra es completa amb una selecció de l’instrumental utilitzat en la daguerrotípia\, procedent del Museu del Cinema de Girona\, que ajuda a comprendre la cultura visual de l’època. \n\n\nDescobreix l’exposició
