We inform you that next Monday, May 22, at 7:00 p.m., the presentation of the centenary book of the Photographic Association of Catalonia will take place, at the organization’s headquarters. The presentation will be made by Pere Puigdollers and Vi\u00e7enc Lafebre. For those interested, we inform you that there will be a point of sale to purchase the book.<\/p>\n

The Agrupaci\u00f3 Fotogr\u00e0fica de Catalunya is a non-profit organization created in 1923 in Barcelona, with the aim of promoting the art of photography.<\/p>\n

Throughout its history, it has been a meeting place for established photographers, amateurs, apprentices and professionals, some of whom have become big names in Catalan photography. Xavier Miserachs, Ramon Masats, Ricard Terr\u00e9, Francesc Catal\u00e0 Roca, Joaquim Pla Janini, Claudi Carbonell, Antoni Campa\u00f1\u00e0 or Joan Porqueras are some of these examples. In addition to them and many others, they also made room – as something exceptional at that time – a whole series of female photographers among which we find names such as Mey Rahola, Rosa Sz\u00fccs, Gl\u00f2ria Salas or Montserrat Vidal-Barraquer and Flaquer, which are currently being restored to their rightful place in the history of photography in Catalonia.<\/p>\n

This year 2023, the centenary of this organization is celebrated with a whole series of activities and exhibitions and also, in honor of this anniversary, a book has been prepared that includes, over 240 pages, the journey of Agrupaci\u00f3 Fotogr\u00e0fica de Catalunya in these 100 years of living history.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
